HORNGROUP: Cloud Solution thought through further
The HORNGROUP - specialist for refueling technology - is further developing its "MYTECALEMIT" software and will in future rely on software-as-a-service to secure competitive advantages.
Beginnings of the “MYTECALEMIT” software
The digital success story of TECALEMIT, a specialist in products and services for filling and measuring operating fluids, began back in 2018 with the “my Tecalemit” Cloud Solution project (read more in the magazine  p. 18 f). With “myTecalemit”, the Flensburg-based company developed a web-based and terminal-independent tank data management system. The cloud project was supported by the INDUS Innovation Promotion Bank. Since then, TECALEMIT customers have had access to a detailed evaluation of their tank data, such as fill levels and tank operations, at any time and from anywhere. In addition to the evaluation option, access control and the fully automatic triggering of re-orders for operating materials offer real added value for customers.
„MYTECALEMIT“ – Software as a Service
Supported by the INDUS initiative to increase the market excellence of its portfolio companies, the HORNGROUP adopted its new corporate strategy “HORN Flensburg 2025” last year – and thus laid the foundation for a total of 15 sub-projects that implement the strategic realignment.
The further development of “myTecalemit” was identified as a promising sub-project. After the software has successfully established itself on the market, the licensing and sales model of the cloud application will be further expanded in the project. Software-as-a-Service is the keyword here: geared to customer needs and user behavior, TECALEMIT is switching to a multi-level subscription model in which customers can choose the package that best suits their requirements.
And the next innovative project is already in the starting blocks: With the smart meter, a stationary volume flow meter with various control options is directly connected to the cloud solution. Thus, the “myTecalemit” software is a success story all along the line, because the scalability constantly opens up new opportunities.
