INDUS
365 days INDUS
The turn of the year not only marked the end of 2019, but also my first year as a member of the INDUS Management Board. This is a good opportunity to look back on what I have experienced and to look forward to new tasks and challenges.
I look back on the last twelve months with great pleasure. A time that I have used to “arrive” at INDUS, to get to know the colleagues, employees and organization and to develop and advance my new area of responsibility.
When you take on a new task, it usually takes a longer decision-making process. INDUS made the decision very easy for me. The sustainable, successful business model, the future-oriented, trust-based management culture, short decision-making processes and great scope for designing exciting and diverse tasks convinced me early on. From today’s perspective, I can say: rightly so. The grass on this side of the river is actually as green as I had hoped!
Although the economic conditions in 2019 have become much tougher, it is precisely under challenging conditions that the true performance of an organisation becomes apparent. The INDUS Group is growing and earning good money even in difficult times. This is an achievement that we perform collectively in the Group and of which we can be proud. It is one of my personal highlights of the past year that I was able to make my first contribution and convince our youngest Group member, DSG, of the merits of INDUS. I hope that this growth will continue in 2020, particularly in the Medical Technology segment.
As an enthusiastic mountain biker, I know that it takes courage and endurance to make progress in rough terrain, and having got to know the INDUS Group, I am firmly convinced that these qualities are more than well represented here.
Our companies are well positioned, but the world does not stand still. Digitization, new mobility concepts and manufacturing technologies are a topic in every key sector of German small and medium-sized companies. They also present our companies with new challenges. With PARKOUR, INDUS has created a strategy program with which we make our investments fit for the future and help them not only to keep pace with the dynamic technology and market development, but also to actively shape it for themselves. This year, my colleagues on the Management Board and I will work together to further advance PARKOUR. For me, the focus is primarily on the targeted use of the INDUS development bank for innovation and growth projects.
I am looking forward to the next 365 days!
With kind regards,
